The Watson School of Biological Sciences was created in 1999 and graduated its first doctor in 2003. The school boasts an entering class of less than twenty and an intense four-year graduate program. What stories can you recount about your student days at the laboratory?

Scientists, scholars, historians, students and community members are continuously traversing the CSHL grounds to work in a lab, research in the archives, attend a concert or bike to the beach. When did you visit the lab? What are your special memories of the people you encountered?

Dr. Bashford Dean led the first course at Cold Spring Harbor in 1890, but the modern era began in 1945 with the Phage course, established by Max Delbrück and Salvador Luria. The Courses have had an enormous impact on research, introducing thousands of scientists to new topics. What courses did you participate in and how were they memorable?

Reginald Harris, then Director of the Biological Laboratory, initiated the first Symposium in 1933. Today over 8,000 scientists come to the laboratory each year to attend meetings. What special moments do you recall from your participation in or organization of these meetings?
