Visitors Scientists, scholars, historians, students and community members are continuously traversing the CSHL grounds to work in a lab, research in the archives, attend a concert or bike to the beach. When did you visit the lab? What are your special memories of the people you encountered?

Default Jones Cottage Photo

This is another photo of the Jones Cottage from my family collection. It stood just north of the Firehouse on Bungtown Road, and was abandoned and boarded up throughout the 50s and early 60s, when it must have been demolished. It had a halfhearted reputation as a haunted house. It was also know as Rosy's Cozy (for Rose or Rosalie Jones?). You may be able to make out the broken windowpanes. The building was full of old furniture, which I know from sneaking in a few times, only in daylight.
